About the event
Join us on January 7 as Sean Lucas discusses the Presbyterian Church in America’s confession and character, history and hopes for the future. This lecture is a part of the RTS Washington 30th anniversary History & Hope Church Lecture Series. Local church members along with RTS students, alumni, and friends of the seminary are all welcome.
For three decades, RTS Washington has worked closely with multiple denominations to prepare their pastors and other church leaders in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. The History & Hope series features lectures by leading representatives of the denominations RTS Washington most frequently serves.
Sean Lucas serves as the Chancellor's Professor of Church History at RTS as well as senior pastor of Independent Presbyterian Church (PCA), Memphis, TN. He is the author of For a Continuing Church: The Roots of the Presbyterian Church in America, as well as other books and articles on Presbyterianism.
