About the event

Join us on November 18 as Mark Dever, senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, discusses Reformed confessionalism in the Baptist tradition, its character, history and hopes for the future. This lecture is a part of the RTS Washington 30th anniversary History & Hope Church Lecture Series. Local church members along with RTS students, alumni, and friends of the seminary are all welcome.


For three decades, RTS Washington has worked closely with multiple denominations and confessional traditions  to prepare their pastors and other church leaders in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. The History & Hope series features lectures by leading representatives of the denominations and traditions RTS Washington most frequently serves. 


Mark Dever serves as the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. He is the president of 9Marks Ministries and holds a Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History from Cambridge University.
